A little about me

Hi! I'm Carl, an English language specialist, creative linguist and writer based in Siena, Italy. I'm originally from the South West of England (the part that looks like an elephant's trunk slurping up the Atlantic Ocean), but I've travelled around quite a bit, mainly to sunny places with coconut palms. I studied Creative Writing and English Literature (BA) and Songwriting (MA) at Bath Spa University, Bath, UK.

English language lessons

Writing

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English Literature, as well as a Master of Arts in Songwriting, both of which I attained from Bath Spa University, Bath, UK. I've published articles, poetry and short (flash) fiction. My main interests lie in the fields of travel writing and songwriting, and my inspiration comes from the likes of Bruce Chatwin, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, V.S. Naipaul, Colin Thubron and Neil Young. You can find some samples of my work in the blog section of this website.
